Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Strategic Project Director to support Policy Harmonization for Johnson & Johnson in Switzerland.

The Strategic Project Director will lead the E2E program towards policy/practices harmonization for Johnson & Johnson Switzerland, developing the overall strategies required for the transformation, and partnering closely with senior leadership on strategies and roadmap timelines. This will entail responsibilities in the oversight of multiple policies and practices to be harmonized across different legal entities and branches through cross-functional interactions with Total Rewards, Legal, Campus Leadership, Swiss LT, Employee Relations/Labour Relations, Payroll/Time & Attendance etc.

The Strategic Project Director has two main responsibilities. The first is to lead and deploy the staffing of resource needs towards harmonization for J&J Switzerland. This requires strong collaboration across multiple functions with the timing in the overall program project plan and deployment schedule.

The second main responsibility is to create and drive the project plan and delivering against key milestones and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resource processes and policies, local employee and labor relations requirements, and large scale project management and execution. They will bring an ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.

We are looking for a person who has the passion to lead change, who has a strong background in project management and HR in Switzerland, and a proven track record of project delivery, is customer-centric, has excellent communication & presentation skills, and is adept in working within a matrix organization with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders. Has excellent time and resource management.

The person will report directly to VP of Finance Janssen Business Services. This role will be part of the Project team, and will work on a multi-year cross-functional plan and will interact with multiple stakeholders in HR, Finance, Legal and Senior Leadership.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop Strategy towards harmonization for J&J Switzerland, leading this major project
  • Ownership of short to mid-term strategy execution (1-3 years) and operational direction.
  • Create and deliver project plan, identify interdependencies, confirm deliverables, avoiding duplication of efforts and disconnected processes
  • Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plan. Define ownership along the way for long term strategy.
  • Proactively identify and escalate program roadblocks and drive resolution through partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings.
  • Create visibility at the program and Leadership at the regional/global level.
  • Partner with HR Leads and cross-functional partners to identify and manage potential risks and mitigations.
  • Ensure the program is adhering to our global standards
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong communication and influencing skills. Interaction with Senior Leadership
  • Ability to persuade others in sensitive complex situations whilst preserving relationships.
  • Effective communication and strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audience.
  • People management experience is required.
  • Track record of building positive working relationships with people who work in a challenging work environment.
  • Must have a collaborative approach, the ability to connect, and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong ability to manage deadlines, assess and communicate risk required
  • Analytical and strategic thinker, and highly developed problem-solving skills required
  • financial acumen and cost consciousness, leading w/o authority,
  • resilient and has a sense of urgency, can accommodate different needs and come up with broad based solutions
  • Experience delivering large projects from concept through delivery and operations is required.
  • Broad HR/J&J knowledge is preferred. Provides analysis, advice and guidance to Senior Leadership (both business as HR)
  • Strong ability to prioritize, and manage time effectively is required.
  • Experience working under matrix - global environments is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to toggle between the big picture and attention to detail required
  • Prior experience as a PM and managing project plans in HR is preferred.
  • Experience with business support software applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Planview) required.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French and German is a plus
